Eric is based in New York City and leads Cowen Portico’s M&A and private equity capital raising advisory practice within Verticalized Software, Data, and Analytics across several B2B industry verticals, including Automotive. He joined the firm in 2006 from Citigroup’s Corporate and Investment Bank.
Over the past two years, Eric has guided over 20 transactions in the automotive retail space.

Notable transactions in automotive include the acquisition of CDK International by Francisco Partners, sale of CarOffer to CarGurus, sale of Darwin Automotive to J.D. Power, sale of Gubagoo to Reynolds and Reynolds, sale of ELead1One to CDK Global, vAuto to Cox/AutoTrader, acquisition of Autodata by Solera, private equity recapitalizations of TradePending (CapStreet), Carwave (KKR), and DealerRater (Great Hill Partners), among others. 

Eric received B.A. degrees in Economics and Computer Science at Duke University.
