William began his career in automotive in 1983 selling cars. Over the next eight years, he worked in a number of areas in the dealership, including the F&I office, sales management, general sales manager, service advisor, and general manager.

As his career progressed, William held leadership roles for 18 years in publicly traded companies as a platform vice president in groups such as United Auto Group (Now Penske Automotive), Group One, and AutoNation in six different markets (Boston, Chicago, West Palm Beach, Danbury Ct., Jersey City, NY).

He also was the Dealer Principal/operator/owner of Hudson Valley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for seven years. He also was  the Group Vice President for the Fuccillo Automotive Group in 2018 – 2019. 

 

He is now the Dealer/Partner for Gold Coast Cadillac, part of the Serra Automotive group. The dealership is one of the top selling Cadillac stores in the country. William is a hands-on dealer (his email and cell phone number are on Gold Coast’s website) who has won numerous awards including Dealer of the year, Mark of Excellence, and Presidents’ award (Toyota), Elite of Lexus (all multiple times), and winner of the Carfax and DealeRater top-rated dealer awards. 

 

His stores also have been ranked in the Ward’s Top 500 numerous times. 

 

Vendors and OEMs rely often call on his expertise and knowledge of the industry. Examples include participation in Edmunds’ “Fastlane” development program and serving on its dealer advisory board. He’s also on the dealer advisory boards for Digital Air Strike, GM & Cadillac Financial, and Cadillac. 

 

William also is asked to speak at numerous industry conferences providing his perspective on the auto industry. Currently, he is on the development team of two apps as well as a consultant to several tech companies. 

 

He’s been married for 34 years (to the same wife) and has six children and two grandchildren with a third on the way. He’s a martial arts aficionado, a self-described gym rat, and is active in real estate and the investment world.
