Currently consulting through her firm, SkyeLynx, Mara advises investors, banks, fintechs, and service providers on strategic initiatives to navigate today’s dynamic regulatory and technological environment. Her work embodies a commitment to fostering resilience and innovation in the financial services ecosystem.

With over 20 years in the industry, Mara has a wealth of experience spanning international finance institutions, private equity firms, leading banks, and government entities, including JPMorgan Chase, Toyota Financial Savings Bank, and the U.S. Treasury. Her deep regulatory expertise, paired with a sharp business acumen and insight into government affairs, has established her as a go-to leader for navigating high-stakes challenges.

As the President and CEO of Toyota Financial Savings Bank, Mara spearheaded the bank’s expansion from a niche $1 billion entity to a $6 billion institution, equipped to support private label partnerships and automotive lending. She led the transformation of talent, product offerings, and governance structures, demonstrating her ability to drive growth while managing regulatory complexity and interest rate volatility.

During her tenure at JPMorgan Chase, Mara played a key role in the $80+ billion auto and student loan portfolios, leading significant regulatory initiatives and cultivating fintech partnerships. She spearheaded a $6.9 billion student loan portfolio sale and negotiations for numerous private label arrangements. At the U.S. Treasury, she served as senior counsel on the Automotive Investment Financing Program, facilitating the restructuring of major automotive entities like General Motors and Chrysler during the Great Recession.

Mara also served as an Air Force officer, culminating her military career in an elite studies group in the Pentagon.
