Phil Vogel is a seasoned entrepreneur, automobile dealer, and dealership broker/advisor with extensive experience in the retail automobile industry and its evolving technologies. As the founder of Vogel Strategies, a boutique mergers and acquisitions firm based on the San Francisco Peninsula, Phil has successfully overseen over 100 franchised new car dealership buy-sell transactions in the last 20 years.

Previously, Phil led his family’s auto dealership group, which operated multiple dealerships across the San Francisco Bay Area. He also managed Leslie Finance and Leasing Company, which boasted a portfolio of over 8,000 vehicles at its peak. Phil significantly expanded both companies through a strategic combination of organic growth and acquisitions.

In addition to his work in the dealership space, Phil co-founded Sextant Technologies during the dot-com era, creating a unified platform for aggregating used car shopping sites. Most recently, he founded ClearBlueX, an innovative marketplace designed to streamline transactions between sellers, buyers, and lenders through a frictionless and transparent auction platform.
