Mike Paylor is a 25-year technology executive who held roles leading engineering and product teams at PayPal and Upwork. Mike’s nearly 10 years at PayPal were spent leading anti-fraud & payment risk teams that built industry-leading detection and prevention systems using predictive AI at scale.

While at Upwork, Mike served as VP of Engineering and Product through Upwork’s IPO leading the development of world-class AI-powered fraud detection systems used on millions of small businesses and consumers globally. Mike spent several years as a consultant with AKF Partners focused on VC & PE led evaluation of various companies’ products, technology and teams as well as providing leadership and mentorship.
